Torch light rally in Kokrajhar
KOKRAJHAR: A torch light cum prayer rally was organised in Kokrajhar on Sunday evening to pray for a fruitful peace talk in between interlocutor Mathur and National Democratic Front of Boroland(NDFB),scheduled to be held on Monday(25th June) in New Delhi over Bodoland statehood issue. The rally was organised jointly by All Bodo Students Union(ABSU),Peoples Joint Action Committee for Bofoland Movement(PJACBM) and National Democratic Front of Bodoland(Progressive),which was started from Assam Oil depot via JD Road, concluded in front of BTC Secretariat ground.The rally demanded early solution of the Bodoland statehood issue through political dialogue without any delay. The NDFB-P is participating in the peace talks with interlocutor AB Mathur on Bodoland issue,which is marking 28th round peace talk scheduled on Monday(25th June). The peace talk has been scheduled to be held in New Delhi in which both factions from from NDFB-P and Ranjan Daimary faction of NDFB are participating.Hundreds of activists,well wishers from ABSU,NDFB-P and PJACBM joined hands with banner,placards in the torch light cum prayer rally carried out in Kokrajhar,heart of BTAD administration that has been extended warm welcome to the scheduled peace talk with Mathur and wished a fruitful talk over the Bodoland issue.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar.
