The overall flood situation remains unchanged in Guwahati till Saturday morning where many parts of the city are reeling under the rain waters.
The situation took a grave turn when 4 persons were killed in landslide in Bhangagarh apart from three death due to electrocution during the last 12 hours in Rajgarh and Dwaroka Nagar.
Apart from it, a youth was beleived to have met watery grave in the river Bharalu after he was washed away in the morning.
NDRF teams are on relief and rescue operation in the worst-hit Lachitnagar, Nabin Nagar, Anil Nagar and Chandmari areas where neckdeep waters have forced halt of all vehicles on the roads.
Parts of the city got rid of the massive waterlogging in the afternoon. But a heavy downpour in the evening brought new woes.
Kamrup (Metro) district administration has announced that all schools and colleges in the city would remain closed on Saturday.
