The Centre will seriously consider the recommendations of the MP Bezbaruah panel set up to examine the concerns of the north eastern people living in other parts of the country.
This was what minister of state for home KirenRijiju told Bezbaruah when the latter met Rijiju in New Delhi recently to submit the report.
The committee strongly suggested a Monitoring Committee at the home ministry to monitor the implementation of their recommendations on time.
Headed by MP Bezbaruah, the panel was set up by the home ministry after NidoTania, a 19-year-old student from Arunachal Pradesh, was beaten to death in Delhi in January.
