Rwn Gwra Narzary heads PCDR

The Peoples Co-ordination for Democratic Right(PCDR), floated as new non-political organisation among the society to building a equal distribution,corruption free, ensuring safe and security,peace and harmony all sections of community in the state on Thursday in Kokrajhar.

The right was formed with Rwn Gwra Narzary,ABSU adiviser as chief convenor along with other 11 convenors at a special convention held at Bodofa Cultural complex in presence of represetatives from various political and non political organisations,was organised by ABSU and its allied organisations.

Promod Boro,president of ABSU said that the democartic right will work for the upliftment of the social integration among all sections of the society.He said that peoples of the region are afcing several hardhsips like killing,kidnaping,extortion due to the security failure from government.The right will voice for peoples unity as well unity among society.The right will  raise voice for the solutions of various community issues including Bodo and other communities in the state,he said.

Boro said the right will work for the equal distributions of social right and society should be led in corruption free manner to meet healthy governence,besides these the right will go forward to create healthy and integreted  society in the region.The right is a completely non political organisation where all non political ad plotical can join and cooperate in building united society.

Boro alleged that present rupling government has totally failed while proving safe and security and property of the common publics.He has demanded early seized of illegal arms from ther society and held good governence in the state.

Boro condemnded the killing of Manaj Das of Mushalpur late last evening in Baksa and demanded eraly arrests of involved culprits.He has asked government to atke stern action against anti-social activities which are creating resented among society.

Among others on the convention respresentatives from vraious organisations including ABSU,BPPF,UDPF,PJACBM,NDFB(P),Bengali Tiger Force,BTC Region AGSU,Nath Jogi Sanmilani,All Barman Kachary Students Union,Barman Kacahry sahitya sabha,Assam Tribal Youth League,Assam Hajong Students Union,United Muslim Minority cell, All Assam Tribal Sangha,All Assam Gorkha Sanmilani were participated in the convention.

Security forces have intensified their combing operation against militant outfits in the region.  Three link men/over ground worker of the National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction were apprehended by security forces in a joint operation at Ripu Reserve Forest on Sunday morning in Kokrajhar district. They were identified Sanjib Basumatary, Mirga Basumatary and Charan Basumatary. Fakiragram bazar turn into ashes

Over 15 shops along the Fakiragram main Bazar in Lower Assam’s Kokrajhar district have turned into ashes.  The fire damaged worth of nearly 50 lakhs properties following fire in gutted on Friday late night. Various types of shops in the bazar which included medical store,hardware,clothes,grocery,stationary,fruits were completely burnt in the fire that started around 12.45 am in the last night. Businessman attacked

A businessman was hospitalized after attacked with sharp weapon by miscreants at Champa bazaar area on Friday evening in Kokrajhar district. He was identified as Tamizaddin Anza ri (32) of Mozabari area. He was immediately rushed to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital and stated to be critical. Details is awaited. 

Vehicular thief arrested

Salakati police in Kokrajhar district arrested a vehicular thief late last night at Salakati rail track.  He was identified as Naba Das of Belsar in Nalbari district, who was involved with stealing of a four wheeler Mahindra pick up van bearing registration AS-16C-2207. An FIR was registered no.138/16 with Salakati police outpost in this connection, under section (u/s) 457/380/411 IPC. 

KLO ultra held

In a joint operation launched by the security forces from Assam Police and Army apprehended a cadre of Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) at Salakati village under Kokrajhar PS on Friday.  He was identified as Sonaram Roy of Balagaon area of Kokrajhar district. Mock drill in Kokrajhar

An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel. A live fire fighting exercise was carried out alongside the drill by Fire and Rescue Services personnel. The mock drill started with hooting of the emergency siren where all official and IOCL employees were seen rushing to the spot and they combated the fire.
