The Common Entrance Exam (CEE) of the candidates who participated in Recruitment Rally at 8th Assam Police Battalion, Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon from January 30 to February 9 this year has been postponed to March 15, 2015 instead of March 1, 2015 at KV, Narengi, said a statement of the state government on Wednesday.

All the candidates have been requested to report to Army Recruiting Office, Narengi Cantonment on February 26, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. along with one photograph and the old Admit Card for issue of new Admit Card to appear in CEE to be held on March 15, 2015.

Gogoi discusses security issues with Rajnath

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his Office in New Delhi and discussed with him to spruce up internal security mechanism including raising a new battalion for Assam.Gogoi also discussed with him the status of ceasefire agreement that the government has with different militant groups along with devising rehabilitation package for the surrendered militants. Moreover, Chief Minister Gogoi discussed with him the prevailing law and order of the state including other pending issues and requested the Home Minister to look into the matters for doing needful from the Centre. Setback for model school

Garo National Union meets Gogoi

Breather for BPL students

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that the state government would bear all educational expenses for the students belonging to BPL families under a new scheme to be launched soon.
