Detention death: probe ordered

 Amid simmering sensation over the death of a Meghalaya woman in Dispur police station, Meghalaya state human rights commission has written to its counterpart in Guwahati seeking an immediate probe.

The Shillong rights panel wrote to Dispur on Monday 24 hours after the incident where the allegedly mentally challenged woman was found hanging inside the toilet.
