DDC meeting of Chirang held

The district development committee (DDC) meeting of Chirang district was held at conference hall of the district centre at Kajalgaon. In the meeting, the DDC chairman and BTC Secretary Carol Narzary assessed and reviewed the progress of the schemes being implemented by various departments in the district. Narzary has asked all line departments to complete projects being taken up by concern departments on time and make healthy completions maintaining quality works in their respective implementation in the district. The committee assessed and reviewed all line department including PWD, Health& Family welfare, Education, Handloom & Textile, Agrivulture,Food and Civil Supply, Water Resources, Fishery department.

Thaneswar Malakar, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner inaugurated the NRC Seva Kendra at Timber Merchants’ Office in Kokrajhar today.Malakar inaugurating the Kendra said that district has set up 97 Seva Kendras under five circles in the district and updating NRC across the district.The kendra will take necessary steps to implement all NRC related jobs at the kendras,he said.There are 97 LRCR in five circles of Kokrajhar district which included Kokrajhar(28),Dotma(15),Bhawraguri(11),Gossaigaon(24) and Bagribari(19) and updating of NRC has been goingon in the district.Among others,Sunil Kumar,SP Kokrajhar,PK Bhagawati,ADC and in-charge of NRC was also present on the function.

Former BPF leader Dohit Chandra Brahma today filed his nomination paper as Independent from Dotma constituency (ST) at Gossaigaon subdivision and saw huge mass supports. Brahma filed his nomination after being ticket denied from BPF party and claimed that his winning is cent percent clear as irrespective of caste, creed and languages are supporting him .
