Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on Sunday witnessed the historic accord signed between the Nyishis and Apatanis at a conglomeration of hundreds of members of both the communities as well as members of various community-based organizations from across the state. The accord signed – a trendsetter for other communities to take a cue – is unique and historic and an agreement between the two neighbours for peaceful coexistence, brotherhood and social harmony.
The Chief Minister further announced an award of Rs 50,000 to encourage intercaste marriages between Nishis and Apantanis.
