A career counseling and motivational programme among students was organised at Parbatjhora Junior College in Kokrajhar today. 

Hundreds of students from various High and Higher Secondary Schools participated the programme, was organised by Kokrajhar district unit of All Bodo Students Union ( ABSU) in association with Basbari anchalik ABSU. 

Romeo P Narzary, vice president of ABSU, Sanjay Narzary, assistant game secretary of the ABSU attended as resource persons in the counseling. 

Narzary urged the students to devote their studies to taking higher education in their life and be a perfect life.

Motor vehicle association warns for non-cooperation in election

The owner and members of the Motor Vehicles in Kokrajhar has warned to take non-cooperation during ensuing Assam assembly election in protest against non-payment of 32 crores of hire charge bills and previous bills of vehicles, which are pending for a long time in the district. The Election Observer for Expenditure for 31-Sidli (ST) LAC Jaginder Singh, IRS on Tuesday arrived at Kajalgaon in Chirang district. BJP leader quits

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday.  Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Basumatary is likely to join ruling BPF party within couple of days, said a close aid of Binati.
