Kidima, Addax win in NSF trophy

Tiema-khe Kidima and Addax FC Kohima sailed into next round in the NSF Martyrs memorial football trophy in Kohima on Wednesday.
Tiema-khe Kidima beat Veracious FC Phek by 3-1 goals. Sorhoiil Pucho opened the account in 20 minute while he scored the second goal in 34 minute.
The third goal came from Kevisekho in 62 minute. Wwsheko Mero scored the lone goal for Veracious in 2 minute. Sorhosiil Pucho of Tiema-khe and Weshekho Mero of Veracious were caution for unsporting behavior.

New Bangla weekly from Hojai

A new Bangla weekly hits the news and views stand from Hojai a day after local legislator Shiladitya Dev and senior journalist Amal Gupta released it.

Named as "Hojai Darpan" Edited by Sanjit Sarkar, the weekly aims at focusing the local and national issues in Bangla..

Speaking on this occasion Shiladitya Dev said that,"This was much awaited, we needed a newspaper which wholly focus on Hojai District and its core activities, We should co-operate and support this paper for its longevity."

Manvendra Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner Hojai District said," Hojai has its own heritage and culture, I think this newspaper will highlight the important issue's of the people, which were not given importance till now."

The meeting was graced by Arup Chakraborty,Senior Journalist, Dharmendra Das, Assistant Superintendent of Police, SH Chaudhaury, President Markazul Ma'ariff and many other dignitaries were present on the dias.

Golaghat Bezbaruah school to mark its 125 years

The Golaghat Govt. Bezbaruah Boys Higher Secondary School, the oldest premier educational institute of Golaghat District, will complete 125th years of its glorious existence next year. The school was established in the year 1886. In order to commemorate the occasion, a meeting is going to be held on December 18 in the school premises to seek opinion from the public and its ex-students, present students, former teachers, present teachers about the celebration. The school has requested all its members, former students, former teachers of the school to participate in the meeting in order to make the celebration a grand success.

Asomar Loka-Sankritir Ruprekha released

The minister of culture of Assam, Bharat Chandra Narah inaugurated a book titled "Asomar Loka-Sankritir Ruprekha (An insight into the folk culture of Assam)" at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati on October 3 which written by eminent personality Umesh Chetia.
