No move to nab Himanta

The police team probing the GS Road clash is unlikely to arrest Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday. The move to nab the BJP leader was revised after the top police officers stressed gathering more evidence against Sarma to be filed before the court.

A section of Congress leaders also does not want Himanta Biswa Sarma to be arrested saying that the arrest would help him steal the limelight. "Why he should be arrested? He struck the controversy only to be arrested to get the focus. He provoked the BJP activists only to be arrested," said a senior Congress leader.

Sarma, who 'fled' to Dhaka hours after the clash is returning to Guwahati on Thursday.
