BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

Bodoland varsity week kicks off

A six day varsity week of Bodoland University, which has kicked off from Thursday in the presence of student, departmental heads and officials at university complex in Kokrajhar. Prof.  Hemanta Kumar Baruah, Vice-Chancellore of Bodoland University inaugurated the annual varsity week. BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary graced the week as chief guest on the inaugural session. Indo-Bhutan Friendship mela concluded

The Subankhata Magh Mela cum Indo-Bhutan Friedship Mela  was concluded after eight-day long scheduled programme at Subankhata in Baksa district today. Two jehadis arrested

Police apprehended two Muslim Fundamentalist cadres from Gossaigaon and Guwahati in two separate search operations on Monday night.  According to BTAD (IGP) LR Bishnoi, Chirang, Kokrajhar and City police jointly conducted search operation against Muslim fundamentalist and able to arrest two cadres from Gossaigaon of Kokrajhar district and Guwahati.  They were identified as Jahidul Islam of Tulsibil and Pota Miyan of Tulsibil of Kokrajhar district.  A factory made pistol, two round bullets were recovered from them.   

Junior Archery championship concluded

Kokrajhar district team spotted first with won 9 gold medals in the  All Assam Inter District Junior Archery Championship,2015,concluded  today after two-day programme scheduled at KDSA ground in Kokrajhar. BTC executive member Rajib Brahma graced the prize dsitribution ceremny as chief guest and distributed prizes among aprticipants. Daizy Basumatary crowned Miss Haina

Daizy Basumatary crowned Miss Haina with winning in the Bodoland Fashion Hunt Miss Haina, 2016. This is the first ever in Bodoland as well Lower Assam region, has been organized by Nexus Entertainment at Bodofa Cultural complex on Sunday in Kokrajhar. She was awarded cash Rs. 25,000 along with crown and citation. Sikha Dutta Brahma and Priyangka Basumatary were adjusted first runners up and second runners up and awarded cash Rs. 20,000 and Rs.15,000 respectively. ABSU hails Gogoi's announcement

The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) welcomed the chief minister Tarun Gogoi announcement of fulfilling various long standing demands of the Bodos which include inclusion of villages of Sonitpur district under Panchayati Raj, separate Directorate for Bodo medium and declaration of Bodo language as associate official language of Assam among others during the interim Budget session of Assam Assembly. The Bodo sahitya sabha has slammed the Assam sahitya sabha for it's insincerity remarks on Bodo sahitya sabha on language policy adoption in the state.  Speaking the reporters today at RNB Bhawan in Kokrajhar, Dr Kameswar Brahma, president and Kamala Kanta Mushahary, general secretary of the Bodo sahitya sabha said that the Bodo sabha was not stand against of any language in the state. The 4th triennial conference of Assam Gorkha Sammelan, BTC Regional committee concluded today at Santipur in Chirang after three days colourful programme.
