BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

Kidnappers arrested

Police have last evening apprehended two persons- Ramen Barman and Rameswar Saikia, the masterminds behind the kidnapping of a small time businessman Hazrat Ali, who was kidnapped on 29 December from Tulsibari under Rangia police station in Kamrup district. According to police, Ramen  Barman of Shahpur and Rameswar Saikia of Suwapur, both under Tamulpur police station in Baksa district kidnapped Ali at gunpoint in a Tata Sumo, identifying themselves as NDFB-S adn wearing SSB uniform on the evening of December 29 last when Ali was returning home from his shop at Tulsibari under Rangia police station in Kamrup district. Child protection programme initiated in Kokrajhar

ABSU expresses concern over Boro Kochari Autonomous Council

One died in mishap

An employee of MRM hospital, identified as Harimahan Narzary,32; died on the spot hit by vehicle late last evening at Debargaon under Kokrajhar police station.  According to family members, Harimahan was way to Rangalikatha after attending hospital by 7PM late last evening and met mishap where he died on the spot.  Body of Harimahan wax brought to Kokrajhar for post mortem. 

BJP stages dharna in Kokrajhar

Earthquake felt in BTAD

A massive 6.8 earthquake  jolt was also felt this morning around 4.35 AM in Lower Assam's’ BTAD districts including Kokrajhar as peoples have to come out of the houses. Student injured in mishap

A student of Bodoland University received serious injured when a bike had head on collision with a tractor along the Mwiderkhoro Road near Masjid on Sunday evening in Kokrajhar town.  According to eye witness, a university student was coming on a bike met head on collided with a tractor from opposite direction and received serious injured on his leg and body. The student was identified as Dwithun Basumatary of Patgaon Bwtiabili, who was immediately rushed to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital. A team of police official rushed the spot to take stock of the incident. 

SLRM certificates distribution

A total of 150 master trainers’ training certificates  were given away at a programme held at Basic Training Centre in Kokrajhar on Sunday. A 15-days long training programme was conducted on Solid and Liquid Resource Management(SLRM),organised by Kokrajhar Municipality Board(KMB) and was designed by India Green Service(IGS) to train master trainers’ to build neat and clean situation among society under municipality board among educated youth and citizens.
