BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

Flood disrupts road network

The road communication was totally disrupted between Beswargaon Aitugaon Road via Simbargaon under Kokrajhar PS following wooden bridge was washedd out for flash flood waters y Kokrajhar on Sunday. The wooden bridge at Aitugaon was washed out for flood waterswhich is the only road communication for the grater Simbargaon area of Kokrajhar. Villagers of Aitugaon, Kalugaon, Beswargaon, Simbargaon expressed their resented for washed out of wooden bridge of which why residents have to face hardships in communication since saturdaVillagers urged the concern authority to make alternative way to avail communication in the region.

Theft at Bodoland Martyrs cemetery

Former Assam minister and Kokrajhar East MLA Pramila Rani Brahma visited at the eroded Salakati - Kokrajhar road and washed out of crop and houses due to the incessant rain flood waters early this morning in Kokrajhar. The Salakati and Kokrajhar road was totally washed out and eroded flood by  waters at Haloadal village due to Tarrang River eroded river bank and crossed the main  PWD road early this morning following heavy rain. 2 died

At-least two persons killed along two cattles due to thunder strom hit today at Silbari under Bijni police station of Chirang.The deaths were identified as Shilaram Daimary(45) and Madan Basumatary(30) of Silbari village at padddy ground this morning.

2 NDFB held

Two hardcore cadres of NDFB(Songbijit faction) were arrested during search operation by security forces late last night from Sahebghat under Bijni police station of Chirang district.The cadres were identified as Worga Basumatary and Pusho Goyary of Panbari area.Two round live bullet and bi-cycles recovered from them,said a police officer.

ASPL: Barhungka beat Global FC

Barhungka Atheletic Club(AC) from Kokrajhar defeated Global Football Club(FC) from Gossaigaon by 2-1 goals in Assam State Premier League(ASPL) at KDSA ground in Kokrajhar on WednesdayNwukwu Maichael of Barhungka AC scored first goal in 45th minutes in the match and led the game 1-0 goal in first half.Ajit Karjee of Barhungka scored another goal in 67th minutes against Global. However, the Global FC got penalty shot to reduce a goal in 74th minutes in the second half. The Barhungka AC won the match defeating Global 2-1 goals.Barhungka AC will take on Tezpur FC on June 6 in Tezpur in the next league match.
