AASU sit in demonstration
The All Assam Student Union (AASU) Kokrajhar district committee staged a 3-hours sit in demonstration in Kokrajhar,opposing the centre's decision to citizenship for Bangladeshi cutizens, who were migrated in India after 1971 today.
Hundreds of AASU activists and citizens participated with banner, placards in the demonstration at DRDA parking near DC office in Kokrajhar and shouted slogans demanded early cancelation of decisions taken from government of India to introduce as Indian citizenship those people migrated after 1971.
Nabojyoti Roy,assistant general secretary of AASU said that the BJP led NDA government assured that the illegal migrated Bangladeshis would be deported after forming government at center during last 2014 parliamentary election rally, but this government takes opposite turn where the Bangladeshi migrated in India after 1971 are going to introduces as citizenship in the name of religion.
Roy slamming the both state and union government said that this government is going to split the Assam Accord spirits in their reign. He has warned for taking stern step against governments said that the student body never accept the decision. A vigorous mass movement would be carried out until the government not cancel the decision in the state, Roy added.
