Budget session adjourned till August 7

A devastating flood wave in Assam has forced the Assam assembly to suspend the budget session till August 8.

The Business advisory committee of the House took the unanimous decision in view of the flood situation where 13 people died and nearly 20 lakh people have been affected.

The MLAs, mostly, have left for their own home constituency to visit the flood-hit areas. They would also review the relief and rescue operation in the affected areas.
