Reportedly the three girls namely Namrata Karki Chetry (14),Pratiksha Bhattarai(14),Manika Devi Ghimire (14) went missing on the evening of November 5 last. Contrary to the family members and locals suspect that the girls might have fallen prey to human trafficking group which have been very active in this part of the state. The school childrens had fled away from home. The childrens with their little savings managed to travel to Rangia railway station but when they were left out with no money they contacted some relatives over phone for some amount. The relatives in turn informed the family members who later rescued the childrens from Rangia railway station on Monday.

"Though prima-facie this seems to be a case of home-runaway,we are looking for other angles into the matter.",said a senior police officer. All the three girl childrens who are inhabitans of Jamuguri village of Dhansrighat under Orang PS of Udalguri are in good health condition and no involvement of any miscreants is evident from the facts as yet as informed by a relative of the childrens
