Mountaineering team left for Sandakphu

A mountaineering team from Bodoland left for high altitude trekking practice on Sandakphu-2017  under mission   Bodoland on Mount Everest-2019.

Bibekananda Choudhury, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner flagged of the team for Sandakphu. The team comprising of 35 members,included four instructors from four districts of BTAD, which was organized by Adventure NGO, Kokrajhar in association with Assam Mountaineering Association.

Choudhury extended his best wishes to the mountaineering member and organizers said that it is a good initiative taking by Adventure NGO.Maheswar Basumatary, BTC executive member and adviser of the Adventure NGO said that the mountaineering step has been initiated to trekk the Mount Everest by 2019 next. Young participants from four districts of BTAD region are participating in the trekking. He has expressed his hopeful  the team would be completed successfully with their destination.

Mananjay Daimary, president of the Adventure NGO said that the NGO taking bold initiative to give mountaineering training scope among coming up generations in the region.
