JMB threat in BTAD!

The Assam police force is well prepared to thwart any disruptive strike by JMB which is believed to have been trying to make its presence felt in the state.

Talking to reporters in Kokrajhar on Monday, additional DGP (BTAD) Dr LR Bishnoi said policemen have been remaining alert in BTAD areas acting on the inputs.

He claimed that the group in question has no such strength to be reckoned with but alertness gas to be there.

He said that over 40 JMB activists were apprehended, some of them are in jail in earlier manner and that intensified efforts are on to flush out these elements. police and it's agencies are keeping strong observation on JMB activities. Earlier he ceremonially distributed the DGP's commendation certificates at a programme held at SP office today in Kokrajhar.

Among others, those are awarded DGP's commendation certificates for dedicating their services in the district to the police services, included Rajen Singh, SP Kokrajhar, Taburam Pegu, ASP, Kokrajhar, Prakash Medhi, DSP, Kokrajhar, MN Deuri, SDPO, Gossaigaon.

Footballer Apurna Narzary to receive Emerging Player award in Bodoland Territorial Region

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). BTR Peace Accord Day celebrated

On Friday, the government of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) observed the third BTR Peace Accord Day as "Day of Peace" on Friday.  A massive bike peace rally was held in Kokrajhar, the "City of Peace." Three individuals, including former MLA and senior BPF (Bodoland People's Front) leader Hitesh Basumatary, were arrested by police in Baksa district after a search operation at Basumatary's residential complex resulted in the recovery of a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition. ISPL 2022: Bodoland lifts trophy

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district.
