Assam governor Banwarilal Purohit visited Chirang district with two programme on Sunday.
On the first day of his visit to Chirang, the governor Purohit held meeting with the district administration, including police and other heads of the departments on various issues related to education, agriculture, PHE at BGR Manash Guest House at Dhaligaon. He took stock of the prevailing law and order and the development activities being done by various line departments.
In this connection, power point presentations on district profile and security position of the district was arranged from the district administration.
He asked the officials to be transferent, punctual and honest in their offices even in their personal life. He further asked them to solve the problems of the pubic expeditiously.
The governor met the delegations of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, BPF, UPP (L) and SHGs to acquant with the grievances and problems of the people. After hearing the problems and grievances of all, the Governor said that he would take up the problems with the state and central governments.
Tomorrow, the Governor Profit will take part in the Swacch Bharat Abhijan programme to be organised by the Chirang district administration at Dhaligaon Bazar area at 9 am.
