Karbi autonomous body poll on June 12

The stage is set for holding the Karbi Anglong Autonomous council polls on June 12. The state poll panel has already announced the poll schedule for 26 seats in the 30 member autonomous body.

According to the schedule the candidates would have to file their nominations by May 19 to be scrutinized on May 22.

The polling will take place on June 13 from 8 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon and bye counting will take place on June 17.
