CBI to probe Lafiqul killing

The Central Bureau of Investigation is likely to probe in the sensational killing of amsu student leader in Kokrajhar which runs to in a hail of shock and anger across the state.

Dispur has already sent a letter to the country's premier investigation agency requsting a thorough probe into the  killing  of the of Lafiqul Islam Ahmed in Kokrajhar. A Special Investigation Team led by Anurag Tankhar is also probing it amid ascalating protest across BTAD areas.Top sources told Assam Times that Assam police officials are caught in a deep dilemma over the entire case since the policeman guarding the student leader was not present when the assassination took place.  " The circusmstances need to be probe and the police authority must answer first how the policeman attached with him had vanished or was absent," said sources in Dispur adding that this answer would unearth the entire circusmstances.
