The alliance partners in the BJP-led government at Dispur, Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) have demanded two ministerial berths each in the forthcoming cabinet ministry expansion in the state that will be taking place by August 15. Both parties want early expansion of cabinet ministry for the smooth functioning of the government.
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, who is also BPF president, looks for two more ministerial berths in the cabinet. Mohilary said that the cabinet expansion is very much required at this time.
'To gain more development and growth in the region, two more ministerial berths are needed’, he said. ‘We have put demand of two cabinet berths in the alliance government and finalization of the party ministerial name reach in shape', Mohilary said.
The AGP also demanded early expansion of cabinet ministry as soon as possible with two more ministerial berths. Ramendra Narayan Kalita, AGP MLA said that the expansion of cabinet is very much required to lead government in smooth manner. He said that as per ration the ministerial should be allotted to the alliance partners.
