NEDA dumps APP

A new political development is gradually going to change the entire scenario in Arunachal Pradesh since North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) have severed its alliance with Arunachal Peoples’ Party.

According to sources, BJP is in expansion mood in the north eastern state by getting all non Congress legislators in their own party after the saffron party got 47 MLAs with an account in the polls.
PPA has 9 MLAs and the Congress has one legislator who is none other than Nabam Tuki.

Same effort is in sight in Meghalaya where the party is in touch with half dozen Congress legislators to get them joined in the run up to the assembly polls early next year.

Two sitting ministers along with two former ministers and two legislators are believed to have been preparing to join BJP. There is no immediate threat to Congress and Mukul Sangma. But these scheme of things would put Sangma in a tight spot.

“If BJP falls short of seats to unseat Congress it would take their help. But as of now BJP wants to get NCP and NPP leaders to join the saffron party,” said a source in Shillong.
