No to non-performing faces in Sonowal cabinet

In a major setback for Assam Chief Minister Sarbanabda Sonowal, the BJP leadership is believed to have been unhappy with the performance of several cabinet ministers who are asked to be replaced. 

Top BJP leaders told Assam Times that party president Amit Shah has sent the new list of ministers to Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggesting immediate replacement of a few current cabinet ministers alleging non performance. 

Shah, who has scanned the recently submitted list, has invited Sonowal to New Delhi immediately on Wednesday itself to finalize the new list of ministers and the portfolios. A few of the ministers is said to be the close aides of Sonowal who would have to he removed in a day or two. 

Reports from Guwahati confirmed that Sonowal is leaving for the capital city to discuss the issue with Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening or Thursdaymorning. 

Assam Times, in its earlier stories gave hint of thr replacement of as many as six ministers and entry of ten new faces who ate said to have been enjoying a clean inage.
