Eid ud Juha in BTAD

The holy Eid-uj-Juha was celebrated in various Idgha maidan in four BTAD districts with festive fervor along with rest of the state on Saturday. Islam religion followers come out with new dresses in the morning at Idgha grounds on the day to offer their prayers. 

In Kokrajhar district, the holy day was celebrated at different Idgha maidans making festive mood as Islam followers thronged at Idgha grounds to offer prayer and Namaj. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BTC chief participated at the Monakocha Idgha ground in Kokrajhar district. 

 Mohilary along with Islam followers offered Namaj on the occasion. He wished a happy Eid uj Juha to the Islam followers and common masses in the state.
Mohilary expresses his hope that the Namaj will bring unity and integrity among all sections of communities in the region. 

'I am very much lucky to be part on the holy Eid ud Juha', Mohilary said. He said that peace and unity must be restored in the region to gain development and prosperity.

The Eid-uj-Juha was also celebrated at different places in Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri districts. 

Islam devotee and followers offered their Namaj and worship to the almighty Allah on the holy day of Eid uj Juha. 

'It is a day of offering Namaj for bringing peace and unity among all sections of communities. We prayed to the almighty Allah for unity a day integrity', said an Islam follower in Kokrajhar. 

'Allah, who is the only owner of all creation, has power of building integrity and unity across the world . We (human beings) offer prayer and Namaj for him on the occasion to get healthy living', said an Immam on the Eid-uj-Juha celebration.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar. Three individuals, including former MLA and senior BPF (Bodoland People's Front) leader Hitesh Basumatary, were arrested by police in Baksa district after a search operation at Basumatary's residential complex resulted in the recovery of a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition.
