Hojai: Smiling faces kept shinning in the SOS village in Hojai when they participated an art competition jointly CII supported by TATA Sustainability Group on Saturday at Telibasti MV School. Altogether 124 promising children participated in this competition to be divided into three groups:- Group A (Class 3 to 7),Group B (Class 8 to 10) and Group C (SOS Children).
The topic of painting was child protection, women empowerment, environmental issues and child rights, participants were allowed to choose from any of the above topics. Speaking on the occasion, Director of SOS Children's Village Paresh Badyakar, said,"It is an initiative of CII in collaboration with SOS Children's Village to celebrate National Volunteering week."
Principal of the School Bamsha Singh shared his happiness and thanked SOS Children's Village for organising such competition at the school. Winners of the Group A(Class 3 to 7), 1st- Puja Paul,2nd- Kakoli Das and 3rd- Isha Dey; Group B (Class 8 to 10) 1st- Bijit Nath,2nd - Riya Debnath and 3rd - Pinki Gour and Group C (SOS Children Group) 1st- Masuda Begum, 2nd-Falguni Devi and 3rd - Ramjan Ali. Monupoma Das and Kanchana Das were present as resource persons (Art Teacher).
