Another rape attempt in Khetri, 1 held

JAGIROAD: Amid an escalating shock and anger over the rape and murder incident in Nagaon, the Khetri police in Morigaon district caught a youth for trying to molest a minor girl on Monday.

The incident took place at Kahikuchi near the National Highway No 37 on Sunday evening when the Class VI girl was forcibly taken away to a place by a local youth who raped her and left away.

The local residents and family members rescued her and moved the police station with a complaint. Acting on the complaint the police have arrested the accused Raufik Ali.
