The agitation for the proposed AIIMS at Raha is set to take a violent turn if the local organizations here are to be believed.
Noted citizens and many local organizations here at a meeting decided to mount more pressure on the Government.
Speakers in the meeting threatened to go to any extent if their demand is not properly looked into where the Government would have to shoulder the responsibility.
They said that they were all prepared to face any eventuality for the proposed premier hospital.
The meeting further decided to take resort to stage rail and road blockade very soon if the Government refuses to listen to them.

A five-day workshop on the compilation of a dictionary for 22 scheduled languages of India has began today at R K Purum in New Delhi,was organized by the Ministry of Human Resource Department and Central Directorate of Hindi (CHD) and continuing till May 1 next.
Prof. Kishorilal Verma, Director of Central Directorate of Hindi inaugurated the workshop in the presence of intellectual and experts from various literary organisation and educationists.
A three-member team of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) participated the workshop which included sabha general secretary Kamala Kanta Mushahary, vice-president Biseswar Basumatary and member Birendra Kumar Basumatary.
Mushahary told from New Delhi that the sabha team will seek appointment from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Human Resource department Smriti Irani, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Joel Oram and Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Welfare Sarbananda Sonowal to press their various demands during their stay in New Delhi.
He inform that four projects including Bodo-Hindi Bartalab, Hindi-Bodo-English dictionary were completed with the help of the Central Directorate of Hindi after the inclusion of Bodo language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution and adding said that making of an audio for Bodo-Hindi Bartalab was on the way of completion. He has expressed his confident that the Bodo language would be recognized as one of the developing languages in India provided completion of various projects for the compilation of dictionary. Moreover, Mushahary lamented that due to financial constraints, some of the projects could not be completed so far.

Kokrajhar: A massive fire has gutted at Dadgiri Bazar along the Indo-Bhutan border in Chiang district.
The fire broke out due to cylinder explosion at a hotel that engulfed to the nearby shops. 11 shops were destroyed in the fire.
The incident took place by 3.30 am in the early morning on Saturday.
The gutted shops includ rice shops ,crocery and few saloons.
Nearly 7 lakhs worth of properties reportedly destroyed in the fire.
