Cattle smugglers held in Kokrajhar

Police in Kokrajhar have apprehended four cattle smugglers from two different places in Kokrajhar disrict on Thursday and seized several cattles. Police apprehended two cattle smugglers from Tulsibil under Gossaigaon police station and seized eight numbers of cattle from their houses.They were identified as Saheb Ali and Nayeb Ali of Rupsi village under Tulsibil police outpost.

In separate incident, two more cattle smugglers have been arrested from Khoraghat under Bagribari police station in Kokrajhar district.They have been identified as Soleman Ali and Keramot Ali of Khoraghat village.Police have also seized 11 cattles from their house.

Cases have been registered with police in this regard and necessary legal actions are going on.

Kokrajhar: Preparations are going on in full swing to hold the second All Assam Biki Alchiary and Sansuma Kungur Basumatary memorial Tchoukball tournament-2018 beginning from May 14 next with two day programme scheduled in Kokrajhar.  The tournament has been organised by Assam Tchoukball Assam to hunt sporting talents in the state. Kokrajhar: Assam forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma strongly condemned steep rise in the rape and murder incidents across the state and advocates strong measures to deal with these. In an exclusive interview to Assam Times in Kokrajhar, she supported the new set of laws to check the crimes against women across the country. Mashahary has been suffering from multiple-diseases in his 76-years-old.
