Physical assault on magistrate in Kokrajhar
KOKRAJHAR: In a heart touching incident, Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh physical assaulted EAC Sailen Das at a gettogeter inside a hotel in Kokrajhar as video of CCTV footages state.
The incident has come into light after a video became viral on social media on Friday.
According to sources, there was a get together organised by district administration at Hotel Gaurang Valley on September 9 where the incident took place.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ordered an official inquiry into the incident.
RTI activist Dural Bora also filed a compalint in this regard with CID Assam on Saturday.

The incident was took place at Santinagar(Ward No. 2) near Kokrajhar Circuit House on Wednesday evening. According to family members, the inciden came into light when victim minor expressed her pain in urine and was reveles to her monther. Family members admitted to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital for medical test as well treatment. Following the FIR against incident, police arrested the accused in the evening. Kokrajhar: Security forces apprehended an NDFB-S rebel along with three linkmen from Kalbari near Salbari in Baksa district on Friday. Acting on an input about presence about militant cadres along the Kalbari area in Baksa district, a joint team of army and police launched a search operation where the rebel was apprehend along with three linkmen and recovered arms from their possession.
