One person was killed when a passenger carrying bus Binapani express (AS13 3681) collided with a Mahindra Bolero vehicle (TR-01 V 0226) at NH-31 Dhakpara area under Baihata Charali PS on Thursday. The bus was on its way from Guwahati to Tangla when it collided with the Bolero at Baihata Chariali. The driver of the Bolero died as an impact of the accident critically injuring four passengers of the Bolero, police said. The injured have been rushed to Tola Ram Bafna Civil Hospital, Amingaon. The dead have not been identified till the filling of this report.

Amid incessant rains two landslide incidents in Guwahati claimed two lives in the city on Thursday. The first incident took place in Nijarapar near Noonmati area in the morning where a woman was buried by the debris. Identified as Nurjahan Begam, she died when the huge piece of rock accompanied by mud slipped on the house where she lived in.
