BSF Director General K K Sharma visited the Indo-Bangladesh border in Silchar sector on Saturday a few days after Union home minister Rajnath Singh ordered complete seal of the international border. The newly elected legislative members took oath in the first day of the Assam assembly on Wednesday. Pro tem Speaker Phani Bhushan Chaudhury administered the members the oath as the legislative assembly members. Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal was the first to have taken oath. Assam Congress president Anjan Dutta’s condition deteriorates further on Thursday forcing the AIIMS authority in New Delhi to shift him to the intensive care unit. BJP is preparing to form a coalition government in a day or two with the help of AGP and BPF.
