Zikir artist presented Bokul Bon Award
Zikir artist and social activist Karimuddin Ahmed of Sivasagar received the Bokul Bon Award today by the Bokul Bon Nyakh and Jorhat Sahitya Sabha.
The Satradhikar of Auniatiya Satra Dr.Shree Shree Pitambor Dev Goswami, honoured Karimuddin Ahmed with the award to him at a function held in Chandrakanta Handique Bhawan, Jorhat the Zikir artist received a certificate and Rs 10,000. The function was presided over by the President of Jorhat Sahitya Sabha Dr.Kutubuddin Ahmed and researcher Dr. Krishna Mishra as the chief guest.

Forest officials rescued two leopard cubs (10 days old) was rescued from Lakshmi Tea Estate and one Python of 12 feet from Nagani well, Atkhal near Gelaki in Sivasagar district recently. They are sent to the rescue centre in Bokakhat.
