Dance Nagaon Dance Finale: spirited performances mark the show
The events loving people of Nagaon witnessed an evening full of dance numbers starting with solo performance under competition category to full fledged group Bihu by young women group. The occasion was finale of mega show “Dance Nagaon Dance” at Nagaon Natya mandir, Amolapatty auditorium on 6th September organized by Abhilakhi Cultural Organisation, Nagaon. Though, the event finale has came through various round of short-listing, the enthusiasm of local dance lovers was enough to continue the show through mid-night. The original venue of show at District Library was changed at last moment due to bureaucracy problem and it lead to even late start of the finale, but neither organizer nor local crowd were ready to leave the momentum of Dance till end.
The major attraction of Dance finale was preceded by co-organized Baby Fashion show final were children from 1 year onwards took the center- stage with the help of their mother and duo Raj Das- Rashmi ( both under their early teens) for more than 1&1/2 hours. The final outcome of baby fashion show was combination of judges marks and public-vote.
Finally, the dance show finale begins with inauguration by Dr. K K Bora, who empathizes the importance of such shows in the growth of local talents and his word truly reflects the performances of many budding talents on the stage as they are ready to face the challenge not only locally but for them whole world is a dance stage. The dancing spirit of more than 2 dozens participants were judges by 3 prominent personality in dance field, namely Ruprekha Bora Saikia, Dipali Mazumdar and Kakoli Barua.
The colorful ‘Dance Nagaon Dance’ is beautifully hosted by amateur local duo Rajnish Jain- Unanaya Bezbarua and they never let down the dance loving Nagaon crowd, which included the people turning up from 6 – 60 years group to experience the event where talent speak about the quality on the stage itself. The purpose of such shows locally is really appreciated with time as such an opportunity can make many dreams came true with dedication and appreciation to prove each step a mile stone towards the chosen goal i.e; dance with spirits.

The pre Bihu celebration seems to be changed from theatre to dance festival here in Nagaon with just before Rongali Bihu local dance institute "Sutrahar" plans for 2 days 'Dance Festival' beginning on 10 April at District Library Auditorium, Nagaon.
On first day of festival alongwith 'Sutradhar', "Okonpuror Okoni', Ojaan Deshor' and 'Green Room' will be staged as danced based show. On second day ' Naachu Aaha', 'Shree Krishna' and 'Sutradhar' will be part of group dance performance. Latest to join the bandwagon here in outer Nagaon area is 'Sanjivani Theatre' which is slated to held 3 days show starting on 6 April'10 at Polytechnic Khalpathar, Panigaon. In the aid of Ratanpur Kolongpar Harimandir development the Mukutmani Saikia's 'Vastur Sabha', Samendra Burman's 'Dhumahar Sesat', Ajit Barthakur's 'Taka Phuta Gari' and Aishwarya Kakati's 'Herus Phuler Suwas' are going to entertain local theatre enthusiastics.
