Blast at Guwahati, 1 killed and 10 injured
Guwahati: 1 kileld and 10 people were injured in a powerful blast at the Gate No 5 in Bamunimaidan area in the city around 11.45 am here today. DIG (CWR) GP Singh said: "The bomb, an IED, was kept at an auto-van. Another cylinder also got burst creating the situation more tense. Ten persons were injured out of which the condition of one is stated to be critical."
The Gate No 5 is usually packed with labourers at the vegetable market. The injured had been admitted at the GMC Hospital and MMC Hospital. Most of the deceased are petty labourers working in the market.

Guwahati : The killing of abducted FCI official Dr PC Ram in crossfire during a rescue operation on Wednesday night in a remote village in the capital of northeastern state of Assam, proved a total failure of the Assam Police in conducting the operation.
