Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. An uneasy calm prevails in Kokrajhar following the recovery of a body in Chechapani on Thursday.Local residents spotted the body beside the railway track and informed it to police in the morning. Poachers have killed yet another rhino in Kaziranga. The carcass of the full grown one horn rhino was found in Kohora range on Thursday.The animal was believed to have been killed three days back to take away the horn.With this, poachers have killed two rhinos in the same range within the last 24 hours.Forest guards found the carcass of a full grown rhino at Kohora range on Wednesday morning.
