Assam observed childrens day along with other parts of the country to mark the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi participated at the centrally sponsored function at the Sankardev Kalakhetra in the morning. He promptly responded the questions posed by the participating children. Apart from this the day was observed with a daylong programme of songs and dances along with drawing competition acrosr the state.
