The 3rd Triennial conference ‘Limboo Mahasabha’  of All Assam Limboo Mahasabha (AALM) is scheduled to held on December 17 and 18, 2013 at bahadur Chariyali, Tinsukia of upper Assam and its now confirmed that Birth Anniversary of Tyeongsi Sirijunga and Chasok Tongnam will too be celebrated in the Conference.

Enquiry in transport department

A high level enquiry has been initiated against some officials of Assam Transport Department for their alleged involvement in illegally collecting money from trucks. Based on the memorandum submitted by some truck drivers and truck owners a few days ago, the office of the Honorable President of India has ordered the Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Jitesh Khosla to institute an enquiry to the matter. The Commissioner, Transport Department will head a high level enquiry into the allegation. TET teachers may go unpaid

Contractual TET teachers engaged in the state government aided schools, may be deprived from their salaries with a huge amount of fund being diverted by the Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission, Assam. The central government granted Sarba Shikha Abhiyan, Mission, Assam more than eight hundred crore rupeesfor paying the TET teachers’ salariesin the fiscal year2014-15. Youth Awardees to initiate Forum

National Youth Awardees from Assam is all set to start a new state level forum to address the issues related to young people in the state. Few meetings were convened in Guwahati to discuss the need of starting a forum in the state.
