NDFB’s Sangbijit faction draws flak across the state a day after it unleashed a reign of terror killing 5 people on Saturday.
Various political parties, organizations and individual categorically condemned the Bodo militant outfit for the attack on innocent people in the name of revenge.
BTAD chief Hagrama Mohilary said that NDFB-S never thinks well being of the Bodo people while ABSU called it an attempt to keep BTAD on the boil.
The offensive took place near Serfang guri at around 11 at night where the Bodo militants stopped a Lakhimpur bound night super bus and asked 8 persons to come down. Then they started indiscriminate firing at them leaving 5 killed on the spot.
They further fired upon three other night super buses in the area. The militants vanished in the darkness immediately after the shoot out.
The Bodo outfit on Saturday morning owned up the responsibility saying that it was the fall out of the killing of their cadre on Friday morning.
Top ranked police officials rushed to the spot and a combing operation is in progress to nab the culprits.
