Gogoi promises 12 seats

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday assured Rahul Gandhi of a wonderful performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

AICC sources told assamtimes that during the one hour long meeting with Gogoi at the party headquarters in New Delhi, the AICC vice president asked Gogoi to ensure victory in all seats. Gogoi is believed to have promised victory in 12 seats.

APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita also was present in the meeting. Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Guwahati also figured in the meeting.

The Central Bureau of Investigation says National Democratic Front of Boroland chairman Ranjan Daimary is the prime accused in the October 30 Assam serial blasts case. According to CBI sources, Daimary hatched the plan for the explosions three months earlier.
