Electronic eyes in Kaziranga

Beware rhino poachers. Poachers’ movement could be dangerous in Kaziranga National park. The world heritage site is fitted with electronic eyes to monitor the movement of rhino poachers.

Forest minister Rockybul Hussian laid the foundation stone of the project at a function in Kaziranga on Monday.

Initially, Kaziranga will get 8 such towers to scan the movement of poachers. More towers are in the pipeline. Notably, poachers have killed 6 rhinos during the last two months alone.
