Itanagar bandh illegal

The capital authority is fully prepared to foil the 12 hour Itanagar bandh salted for Monday. In an order issued on Saturday, the deputy commissioner cum district magistrate Mige Kamki has called the All Nyishi Youth Association-sponsored bandh unlawful asking the organization to call off it.

The authority has directed all offices and banks, schools and colleges, shops and markets to ensure normal functionings in the entire capital complex on Monday. If commercial vehicles refuse to ply the permits would be cancelled fortwith. Citing a Supreme Court judgment, the district magistrate in his order said such bandh calls cause untold misery and hardship for the people.

“It is expedient to declare the proposed bandh call given by All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) on Monday as Illegal and unlawful activity prohibited under law,” said the notification.
