1 killed in gas tank explosion

LAKWA: A private gas agency employee died and two others sustained serious injury when a gas tank owned by it exploded in Lakwa on Wednesday. The incident took place at 11 in the morning when the tank suddenly exploded with a huge sound leaving employee Prasanta Mohan dead on the spot.

Two others who sustained injury have been rushed to the hospital where the duo are struggling with death. The local residents in large number thronged the spot and vandalized the agency alleging lack of care and attention for the employees.  The situation was brought under control immediately after the policemen arrived in the spot.
