2 more held for assault on former rebels

The Nagaon police probing the recent assault on a group of former rebels, have arrested two more youths on Thursday. 

Identified as Pintu Das and Pranjal Bora, the due were said to have been hired by the tractor dealer Raju Das to thrash the former rebels. Police interrogation is going on.

On the other hand, the Assam government on Wednesday transferred additional superintendent of police Sanjeev Saikia to Baska in the same capacity following the allegations that he also beat up the former rebels who were raising funds to feed the flood hit people.
