2 ULFa cadres surrender before Dhubri police
Two hardcore ULFA cadres surrendered before deputy inspector general of Western range in Dhubri K V Singhdeo on Monday morning with an AK-81 rifles, three magazines, 72 rounds of live ammunitions, 2 Chinese hand grenades and mobile phones. According to information, the are said to be Zahirul Islam and Majubur Rahman. Both of these cadres were trained up in Bangladesh and later unleashed a reign of terror in Meghalaya and in some other parts of Dhubri.

On the other hand, a joint team of Guwahati and Nagaon police apprehended two ULFA cadres at Niz Demow near Nagaon. A handmande bomb has been recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Balen Kakoti alais Ashih Gohain and Niranjan Kakoti.
