All out against refugee move
An open meeting in Guwahati on Sunday solemnly vowed to stand united against the Centre’s move to allow the Bangladeshi and Pakistani intruders to stay in India as refugees where Assam will have to bear the brunt.
Speakers after speakers strongly lashed out at both Delhi and Dispur for the move that would for Assam to change its demography. Intellectuals, prolific writers and journalists, who attended the KMSS-sponsored citizen meet said that only a massive agitation would be able to stop the Centre from proceeding with the dangerous deal where the Assamese would be minority in their own abode. Deven Dutta, Udayaditya Bharali, Adip Kumar Phukan, Haidor Hussain, Hafiz Ahmed, Akhil Ranjan Dutta, Manjit Manahta were prominent among those who in their speeches urged all organizations and civil societies to go all out against the decision with a massive agitation.
