Burdwan case: NIA raids Sahanur’s room
An NIA team conducts a raid at the residence of Sahanur Alom on Monday a day after the investigating agency sealed his room at Chatala in Barpeta district in connection with the Burdwan blast case.
Accompanied by local police, the NIA team reached the village and conducted the raid at Sahanur’s room which has been remaining closed since Sahanur and his wife left for an undisclosed residence.
On Sunday afternoon, NIA seized some crucial documents from the residence of Sahanur’s brother Jakaria who is still in judicial custody.
Sahanur and his Sujina Begum left the house after the eid. Jakaria was earlier arrested by a special operations unit of Assam police on charges of being a Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) member.
The NIA team is also looking for another local resident of Chatala who helped Sahanur organize a special namaz in presence of an unknown lady three days before the eid.
