Career Talk on Allied Health held at Dibrugarh

A seminar  on “Career Talk on Allied Health” was organised at Gurukul Junior College, Dibrugarh on April 21 under the aegis of Assam Down Town University and YPM Media Pvt. Ltd. The main purpose of the event was to provide the relevant information and to promote Allied Health as an alternate career option and its scope to the parents, guardians, educators and most importantly students.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. K. Bhattacharyya, Head of Department, Biochemistry, Assam Medical College   by lighting the Ceremonial Lamp accompanied by Dr. Bhatri Pratim Dowarah, Head of Department, Faculty of Physiotherapy, Assam Down Town University,  Dr. Mihir Goswami, Head of Department, Pulmonary Medicine, Assam Medical College, Basabi Bhattacharyya Hazarika, Principal, Gurukul Junior College and Maihursa Boro, Founder & Managing Director, YPM Media Pvt. Ltd.  Dr. Bhattacharyya addressed the highly attended seminar on “The Scope of Nutritional Medicine in Management of Health and Disease”.

The seminar was followed by a panel discussion by invited panellists on the theme Allied Health Workforce and Services and question & answer session. The event was graced by various eminent scholars, doctors, physiotherapists, parents, guardians, educators and aspiring students.
