On the otherhand ,AGP heavyweight as well as the party president has lost the election against the congress candidate Nilamoni Sen Deka from Dharmapur. Besides, almost all the congress sitting especially from Upper Assam could have resotred their seats. Among them Memor Gogoi (Teok), Rana Goswami (Jorhat), Rajiv Lochhan Pegu (Majuli) have won the battle with flying colours.
